Devlog #1 - What's been done so far and goals
Currently the game is in its bare bones.
As stated in the game page, this is my very first game and I had no previous programing knowledge whatsoever. So I'm learning as I go.
The basics of movement and the core mining mechanic are there. Although are very much open for discussion and improvement. I've implemented a shop mechanic, although still very basic and with placeholder sprites.
A basic enemy A.I was implemented.
Known bug: - If the rock mined by the AI does not drop an ore OR if the player picks up the AI's droped ore, the AI doesn't know how to proceed. I'm trying to figure out how to solve this.
Fuel limit has been implemented.
To do:
- I still have to think of a way to introduce upgrades (laser power, cargo hold and max fuel increase...)
- I'm thinking of a way to introduce a police NPC, which would show up if you shoot a miner NPC to get its ore.
